Fig Newton Fiasco!

Luke loves to eat mini Fig Newtons! The other day I gave them to him in a snack trap (a little container with a lid to hold snacks) as we went on a walk. We ran into a lady in our neighborhood who just had to see the boys (of course, who wouldn't??). As I pulled up the canopy on the stroller, here is the face we saw! I can't believe he literally smeared them on his face!

Beck's Beaming Smiles!

Beck is such a happy baby!! Assuming he is fed and rested, he smiles each time he catches your eye! I love to simply "chat" with him and receive those beaming smiles!

Also, he just started "sleeping through the night"!! We are so excited! He doesn't do it each night, but a lot of times I wake up at 6 or 7 in the morning thinking there must be something wrong bc/ I haven't heard him! I run in there to check on him and he is just sleeping so peacefully! A time or two his older brother has even woke him up at 7 am!!

19 months & 3 months

It is so hard to believe it has been 3 months since Beck was born! Here are some pictures of the two of them...Luke will be 19 months on the first of December and Beck was 3 months on Nov. 27th!

Thanksgiving costume!

At school, Luke made a headpiece that he loves. He wears it all the time while eating or around the house. He will come up to us patting his head asking to put it on...and it is too, too cute!!

Luke comforting his lovey...

Luke has a favorite blanket we call his "lovey". One day when I was calming Beck down by patting his bottom, I noticed that Luke had scrunched up his lovey and was doing the same thing! Now, when he needs soothing, he will often get his lovey and pat it next to his chest in the same motion!

Bathtime Dance

Luke has recently decided he does not want to take his bath in the evening...So Marco and I devised the "Bathtime Dance". It begins with me asking Luke if he knows what time it is....then I get very excited as I exclaim "Bathtime!" with my hands in the air!! He gets so excited he mimics me....this picture shows Marco doing the dance and Luke following him!

Luke has a new trick each night! After his bath, he wiggles off his changing table and streaks (literally) through the house! For some reason, he loves to wear his hooded towel around the room....Marco and I thought it was hysterical and caught it on tape!

18 months and 2 months

Can you believe it? Luke just turned 18 months and Beckett just turned 2 months! Although the newborn phase has been hard, it does go by so fast! We went to the dr. today for both boys' check-up....Luke is still on the small side while Beck is a little beast!! Already weighing 12.5 pounds! That is literally about 8pounds less than his brother! Enjoy their pictures!

Actual Halloween

For the big night, we took the boys to the neighborhood cookout. Luke was in his costume, but Beck just slept in my arms. Little Tigger wasn't interested in all the goings on....he just wanted to play in the tub of bottled waters:)

Halloween at the Zoo

We took Luke and Beck to Boo at the Zoo last weekend....actually on accident! We wanted to enjoy a fall day at the zoo before it got cold and ended up going on the perfect weekend! Luke got to ride a pony, meet Elmo and see him inside a pumpkin! And Marco fed a sting ray! Enjoy the pictures!

New toy from Marmi!

Luke was lucky enough for his Marmi (my mom) to bring him a new toy! My mom tends to be able to pick the loudest, most annoying toys for Marco and I to get to listen to!! But Luke got a big kick out of this one...check out the video!

Texas Tech vs. Texas A & M

This game is always a big deal in our household...for obvious reasons! The record in our household 8-2 in favor of Tech....so it is a favorite of mine...For the first year, Marco got to watch it with both of his boys. The last picture is Luke signaling touchdown as Tech ran the ball into the end zone again! Ending score? A respectable 42-25 loss for A & M:)

Halloween Party!

We went to the St. Thomas Halloween carnival this weekend! Luke was Tigger and Beck was a Pea in the Pod! Beck slept most of the time (although he was a hit even while he slept) while big brother Luke ran all over the place. His favorite was the Haunted Tunnel which he went through several times!

Rainy Day Activity

So, today was a rainy day and I had to entertain a 17 month old...so I got creative with finger paint! Sounded like a good idea at the time, but it ended with me folding Luke up like a burrito and placing him fully clothed in the bathtub (this was after he melted down b/c I wouldn't let him play with the red paint.....he had already done enough damage with the blue!!). Really, I wish I had the camera during the bath b/c that was when you could REALLY see the damage!

Oh well, we will try again after he turns 2!

Beckett's First Smiles

Here are the boys at 17 months and at 1 month....Beck even looks like he is smiling and Luke isn't trying to shove him off the couch!

Spring Creek Pumpkin Farm

Luke and Beck enjoyed their first pumpkin farm today! Well, it was more like a petting zoo w/ a hay ride and some pumpkins in a field! Either way, they truly enjoyed it. Luke was all over the place and Beck slept most of the time! But here are some pictures!

Introducing Beckett Thomas Thornton

Beckett joined the world on August 27th, 2008! He weighed in at 7lbs 3oz and was 19 inches long....almost exactly like his brother! However, that is where the resemblance ends! He is olive skinned w/ dark hair and eyes...and looks just like his daddy! Here he is!
